Leon Goldenberg proudly serves as the First Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at COJO of Flatbush, whose name in full is the Council of Jewish Organizations of Flatbush.
In addition, he refers people to the organization whom he feels can benefit from its services. Many people have been helped and even saved from dire situations because of Leon’s consistent dedication to COJO.
In late 2014, Leon and the entire COJO organization united to pay tribute to Rabbi Yechezkel Pikus, the long standing Executive Director of the Council of Jewish Organizations of Flatbush.

COJO Flatbush was established 37 years ago as a multi-faceted, non-sectarian, non-profit social service agency to be responsive to the community’s concerns and needs.
What they do
This year alone clients have received over 58,000 services from all COJO Flatbush programs (2016).
How They Do it
COJO Flatbush works together with multi-ethnic and multi-cultural populations to advocate on common concerns. COJO has strong ties with legislative offices, government and community agencies and the public at large, who assist us in obtaining their goals.
